We left the house at 7am to catch the PATH train from Hoboken NJ to Manhattan. We caught a connection and headed for Central Park. After grabbing Starbucks we headed into the park. It would seem that we actually looked like we knew where we were going (which we didn't) and some women stopped to ask us for directions to the Good Morning America concert. We didn't give it a second thought until we were handed a flyer from a GMA rep. The concert that we were about to miss was Brad Paisley so we hauled butt to the concert area just in time to be there for the TV cameras to roll. I got great pictures. After that we went to meet up with friends of ours who were visiting from Denmark. Since we were all starving we decided to find a place that served breakfast. Pancakes were requested and after some wandering we were directed (By some very nice construction workers) to the Noho Star. The prices that seemed horrible to me that day seem reasonable now. I was served the best scrambled eggs I have ever had. If your ever in need of breakfast in Manhattan than this is the place. After that we did a lot of shopping and some sight seeing. After resting up we met back in the city for dinner. We had drinks at the Gingerman Bar. They have the biggest beer selection I have ever seen. We had an excellent time drinking and having fun. When we walked out we looked up and the first thing we noticed was the lit up empire state building was right there. We hopped in one of those Yellow vehicles of death that NY calles a cab and held on tight. We took the cab to Lombardi's on Spring st. Lombardi's is the oldest Pizza place in NYC and at over 100 years old these people really know how to make a pizza. We live in a very small town in Upstate NY. I like to compare my town to Stars Hallow from the show Gilmore Girls because they are very much alike. So going down to NYC is much like a short commute to a totally different planet.
